About Us

We started this website back in 1996 to promote an awareness of the Chen style form of Taiji (Tai Chi). Back then, it was very much an unknown art. Even when we enrolled for our very first class at the Singapore National Wushu Federation (SNWF) and were told we would be taught by a true Grandmaster called Zhu Tian Cai, we had no idea who he was. Having trained under him since 1995, through all the years, layer by layer, the intricacies of this martial art were revealed. It is only with regular practice that you can experience a breakthrough as your body progresses through the stages.
It was also in the late 1990s that we wrote about the Chen style of Taiji (Tai Chi) in Wikipedia. We stressed the difference between the modified forms of the Chen style loitering out there and the traditional forms as practised in Chen Village, or Chenjiagou Taijiquan as we chose to call it. You will see our website listed under the Contributor Link section in the Wiki page.

Chen Style Taijiquan (Tai Chi) in Wikipedia
Having also just visited Chen Village itself, we came back and digested the experience. There is much insight to share with a goodly portion that is very hard for us to bring out into the open, being bound by the dictates of discipleship. We seek everyone's kind understanding on this.
